Project Kanchi
The Adventures of being yourself.
Project Kanchi
History was made in 2001 by generating funds for 6000 poor, during a 4-month adventure filled with rich stories, trials, tribulations, and triumphs across southern India. Both Neeraj and Caroline became friends during the expedition. Caroline's childhood ambition to become Mowgli from the Jungle Book, was inspired by Mark Shand's award wining book, "Journey on My Elephant." This remarkable journey was filmed by the National Geographic Channel. Project Kanchi, ( Atulya Kanchi Camp) Bandhavgarh National Park. Madhya Pradesh, India
A man of many stories:
A huge amount of experience at organizing and leading expeditions has been gained by Neeraj Pathania, founder of "India Travel Experience" and "Atulya Kanchi Camps," an explorer and conservationist. Many seasons were spent by him in the Indian Himalaya, Desert, Rivers, and Jungles. A number of projects for National Geographic films were worked on by him as Location Manager in India, including a 1000 km journey by Elephant through the south of India. The first UK group to trek in "Arunachal Pradesh" was led by him, and prominence was gained by him in Mark Shand's book "River Dog," an epic travel story. Lifelong friends were made later, and many adventures along films, mostly on Asian Elephants, were done together.
Stories from treks and camping across the Himalayas, were shared changing the lives of 7th former students from the United Kingdom. Community projects, filming expeditions, wildlife photography, friends of sadhus, tribal communities. Elephant connections were all part of the experience. Whatever is in your mind and heart for your dream travel will be made memorable. Tailor made, adventure, Family, Solo, Group of friends, couples, Photographers, and wild lifers. I personally am made a part of the travel-making exclusive. What are you waiting for join me on my journeys in India.
